ASA’s PSH Learning Collaborative 2.0 Seeks Your Participation – Applications Due March 15

The Perioperative Surgical Home (PSH) is a patient-centric, team-based model of care created by leaders within the American Society of Anesthesiologists to help meet the demands of a rapidly approaching health care paradigm that will emphasize value, patient satisfaction and reduced costs.

Although only in its early stages, the PSH model has been transformative for many of the early adopters who have incorporated it at their institutions including members of the first PSH Learning Collaborative. The first collaborative consisted of a diverse group of 44 health care organizations across the country who evaluated the viability of the PSH model and the extent to which it might prove superior to conventional perioperative care.

ASA is currently seeking participants for the PSH Learning Collaborative 2.0, which begins on April 1, 2016. Building upon the successes of the first collaborative, the second Learning Collaborative will focus on PSH strategies that are compatible with alternative payment models such as the Bundled Payments for Care Improvement (BPCI), Comprehensive Care for Joint Replacement (CJR), the Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP) and Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs).

The collaborative welcomes participants who are at the earliest stages of PSH participation and those seeking more advanced guidance.

If you are interested in joining the PSH Learning Collaborative 2.0, please contact PSH Executive Roseanne Fischoff for more information at r.fischoff@asahq.org or (847) 268-9169. Learn more at asahq.org/psh.
