We wanted to find out what bloggers want from a press release and
get their advice on media outreach. So, we asked two high-profile
bloggers. First, we spoke with Tom Foremski, founder and publisher
of the Silicon
Valley Watcher and former columnist for Financial
Times. Tom also penned the important article Die!
Press Release! Die! Die! Die!, that has influenced the
move to make press releases more transparent and web friendly.
We also spoke with John Biggs, author of Black Hat: Misfits,
Criminals and Scammers in the Internet Age. John also
writes for the New
York Times, Crunchgear, Popular
Mechanic and numerous other outlets. His personal blog is BigWideLogic.com.
