Camp Discovery at 20:
Helping Children with Chronic Skin Disease Experience Summer Camp
SCHAUMBURG, Ill. (June 20, 2013) –For the past 20 summers, the American Academy of Dermatology’s Camp Discovery has been making a difference in the lives of children and teens with chronic skin disease – some of whom require extensive, daily medical treatment and supervision.

Camp Discovery Changes Lives for Children
with Chronic Skin Conditions

At no cost to their families, and with on-site medical care, campers can experience all that a typical summer camp offers. By the end of the week, everyone leaves with new, lifelong friends, a burst of self-confidence and  the knowledge that serious skin conditions are not a hindrance to learning how to horseback ride, paddle a canoe or perform in a talent show.
