Education Leaders, National PTA Gather for Reflections
Exhibit Opening

- U.S. Secretary of Education, Arne Duncan, sent a glowing message lauding National PTA for our focus and value in arts education during the 2008-2009 Reflections themed year ribbon-cutting ceremony and exhibit opening at the U.S. Department of Education in Washington, D.C. Guests in attendance for the ribbon-cutting ceremony were honored with a special performance by National PTA Ambassador, CeCe Peniston.

Thousands of Families Get Involved, News Coverage Reaches More
than 10 Million around Take Your Family to School Week

PTA NEWSWIRE- Thousands of families and students benefited again from PTA Take Your Family to School Week.  The $1,897 grants presented to 32 award-winning schools gave them an economic boost during the recession’s woes.  In addition, the special week continued to involve more and more families than ever before.  As an added bonus, National PTA officers visited local PTAs across the country presenting them with “Big Checks” to all the award winners.  Click here to view release.
