Does Your Brand Need a Social Media Make-over?

social sitesWith social media sites like Twitter, You Tube and Facebook growing every day, brands are scrambling to take advantage of this aspect of the shift to digital. Before you jump on the bandwagon, consider the impression your social media identity is making. Make sure your sites look professional, are well organized and are properly integrated.

PWR has recently introduced a social media makeover package to help you do just that. We will work with you to organize your assets, design professional and appealing backgrounds, and customize your social media pages to match your branding initiatives. We’ll also make sure your pages all point to each other, integrating your social media efforts, and design a social media footprint you can use across your digital collateral, inviting viewers to join and befriend you.

We’re happy to chat with you about how we do it, but if you’re attempting it on your own and want a few starter tips, click here.

You can view our Gallery to see New Media Releases, E-newsletters, Electronic Press Kits and other projects we’ve done on behalf of our many innovative clients.  And for our many clients who take advantage of our on-line virtual office to keep track of their project, upload docs and access past information and links, you can now access BaseCamp directly from our site. (If you need a username/password just send us an email and we’ll set you up.)

We would love to hear your thoughts so get in touch to tell us what you like or think could be improved.

Email: The Digital Glue

The web is the world’s fastest growing medium and taking advantage of the internet is a must in today’s fast paced world of marketing and public relations.

Blogs, search and social media all contribute to this new multi-directional communication pattern but email is still the glue that holds it all together, the commonality in the web 2.0 world.  Whether you subscribe to an RSS feed, get a direct message from your Facebook friend, or post a message on a blog, your inbox is where information finds you and your email address is the currency you use when you navigate the web.

Outbound vs. Inbound News Release Tactics

Recently, thought leaders in the PR space have been spilling ink over the question of inbound versus outbound news releases (or, if you prefer, push versus pull media relations). Clients are confused by what they should expect from multi-media digital outbound services like ours versus what traditional wires deliver. And, they’re wondering where Social Media Releases fit into the whole thing.

We’ve put together this slidecast with some facts about the differences between outbound and inbound release tactics and objectives, tips on how to effectively integrate your efforts, thoughts on how social media fits in, and information on what we’re hearing from journalists and bloggers. We hope you’ll find it useful.

HINT: There's no need for a national wire distribution, a New Media Release and a Social Media Release. By adding social media elements to your New Media Release and supplementing with a small wire distribution, you can be just as effective and save money.
