---------------------------------------- James Martinez CHICAGO (August 19, 2008) – As more than 55 million students head back-to-school this season, PTA continues to be the premier resource for today’s busy parents. Today, PTA launched its first-ever Back-to-School Webcast so parents can pickup tips on several topics like coping with the economy, allowances, transitioning, getting kids active, preparing for tests, and more. The webcast is on-demand so parents and other child caretakers can watch at their leisure with the click of mouse. Taped at Kozminski Elementary School on Chicago’s south side, the webcast features PTA’s first-ever male, African-American national CEO, Byron Garrett; PTA’s first-ever male national president-elect, Chuck Saylors; and PTA’s national secretary/treasurer, Betsy Landers. Parents can view the webcast by visiting www.pta.org or by clicking here: http://www.visualwebcaster.com/event.asp?id=49642.
